Lord of the Flies
“Lord of the Flies” – the debut allegorical novel by the English writer, Nobel Prize in Literature (1983), William Golding, published in 1954.
The book can teach people to stay in any, even desperate situation. The main cruelty of the book lies in the fact that the main characters are children. And in general, a book about the struggle for power. “Lord of the Flies” is by far one of the best books, but very heavy. It should not be taken literally, it has some subtext, it is necessary to read between the lines. This is not a children’s story and the story is not about children. This is a story about people, about humanity. Children are a symbol of innocence, because each of us was a child. And growing up, this innocent child disappears somewhere. What happened to the children on the island, to this day is happening on Earth. We ourselves educate this beast in ourselves, in books it is personified with Beelzebub, the Lord of the flies.
